To design a website for The Color Run race that is consistent with their overall brand. And to generate involvement in a local chapter of the race.
Solution
Designing for the web is one of the most challenging problems I face, but one which I relish day after day. The level of interaction for the user opens up a whole new world for the designer. We think about sound and motion, as well as stagnant graphics. This Color Run project offered an avenue for me to dig in to this level of user interaction. To employ color, typography, and motion in full force, and then actually build the functioning website in Webflow.
The hero of the website features the most important information of the date, time, and place of the race.
The rest of the website takes the idea of the confetti-like colored powder and realizes it in a geometric pattern, that leads the user through the website.
